Virtual Information Session for supervisors

As you know from the Protecting the Pack plan released last month, supporting our employees’ health and well-being is a top priority. Please review these two documents: one that outlines updated steps that supervisors are required to take when an employee is diagnosed with COVID-19, is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to someone with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19; and another document that supervisors can share with employees who are exposed to, symptomatic of or positive for COVID-19.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m., Human Resource Services is hosting a Virtual Information Session for supervisors to provide additional guidance on return to work and to answer questions on how to best manage and support employees. There is still time to register for the session. Email Karen Smith at ksmith12@niu.edu as soon as possible.

As a reminder, there are important resources in the Return-to-work Toolkits posted on the Keep Working website, and the Employee and Supervisor FAQ on that site are constantly being updated.

Thank you for your service to the NIU community.

Vernese Edghill-Walden
Interim Chief Human Resource Officer
