In PeopleAdmin’s Applicant Tracking System (i.e. Blue side), several changes have recently been made. One of those changes include separate workflow transitions for Staff postings that are directed to two separate areas of HR depending on if the posting is for a Civil Service position or a Supportive Professional Staff (SPS) position.
Fellow Huskies with the Equal Opportunity Liaison (EOL) role will have the option to take action on a posting to move it forward in the workflow by selecting either of the following two actions:
- Submit to Talent Acquisition for Civil Service Positions
- Submit to Affirmative Action for SPS Positions
Note: Liaisons also have other options to send the posting back to other users in the workflow if necessary.
Because Talent Acquisition is responsible for ensuring various important posting information is entered and in compliance with Civil Service statues, a workflow to send postings directly to that HRS unit was necessary. After Talent Acquisition approves the Civil Service posting, then it will flow to Affirmative Action who is responsible for all advertising and the verification of advertising of employment positions at NIU. Relatedly, SPS positions will continue to go directly to Affirmative Action under the same pretense.
