University Holidays for 2021

With the endorsement of the University Council, President Lisa Freeman has approved the following holiday schedule for 2021:

December 25 (Holiday) Saturday, December 25, 2021
December 25 (Holiday Observed) Monday, December 27,  2021
Administrative Closure Tuesday, December 28, 2021

New Year’s Day (Holiday Observed) Monday, January 3, 2022

Hourly employees in positions not covered by collective bargaining agreements will be paid at the regular rate of pay plus 1-1/2 times the regular rate of pay for all hours required to work on any of the above named holidays or, if mutually agreed to with supervisor, by compensatory time off at the rate of time-and-one-half plus holiday pay. Employees covered by prevailing rates will be compensated in accordance with local area agreements.

Per Campus Parking Services, parking enforcement for the 2020/2021 holiday period will be as follows:

  • December 12–22, 2020: All parking regulations will be enforced.
  • December 23, 2020 – January 3, 2021: Parking regulations that will be enforced during the holiday closure period include the following: reserved parking, no parking zones (including fire lanes), handicapped spaces, and parking lots that are enforced at all times. Parking lots that are enforced at all times are identified on the parking map as having a black square around the parking lot number (i.e.: Lot 18 at Neptune Hall).
  • January 4, 2021: All parking regulations will be enforced.

NOTE: The visitor’s lot will be open at no charge from December 12, 2020 through January 10, 2021. Payment will be required again on January 11, 2021.
