The 125th Anniversary Planning Committee has scheduled a kickoff event that will begin the celebration of NIU’s 125th Anniversary. This event will feature Northern Illinois University’s rich history and bright future and is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center. The university supports this activity as an important event for our employees.
The university encourages all employees to participate in this celebratory event, and we appreciate the consideration of campus departments in making arrangements for staff and faculty who wish to attend. To allow everyone to participate in the celebration, the university has authorized a 90-minute release period for all employees who are interested in attending. Any employee who wishes to attend the event should coordinate this absence in advance with their supervisors.
