In September, I announced that there would be a formal election on October 23, 2023, to elect an NIU Civil Service staff member as SUCSS Employee Advisory Committee representative.
On September 28, 2023, the deadline for submitting candidate packets, HRS received only one valid packet for nomination to this position. With only one valid petition packet, this person automatically becomes NIU’s Employee Advisory Committee member, forgoing the need for an election.
As such, I am delighted to announce that Chris Doe (Administration & Finance) will become the new Employee Advisory Committee member of the State University Civil Service System on January 1, 2024.
