State of Illinois Paid Leave benefit begins March 31; new time reporting forms for employees now available

Eligible employees will be able to start using the State of Illinois Paid Leave benefit beginning on March 31, 2024.  When benefit usage occurs, the time should be reported on the updated Salaried Non-Exempt/Hourly Time Sheet and the Salaried Employee Benefit Usage Report.  Both files are now available in the Forms section of the HR website.  Employees should use the new forms for the March 16-31 hourly payroll (due April 1) and the March reporting period for salaried employees (due April 16).  The new forms also include the Huskies Give Back program and updated instructions. Please use this as an opportunity to ensure that your information (name, employee ID, position number, etc.) is correct on the forms being submitted.

Beginning with the April 15 pay date, employees will be able to see their available balance for the above-mentioned programs on their pay advices.  As an additional enhancement, the countdown balances for the non-accumulative sick leave programs have also been added to the pay advice.  This balance reflects the amount of accrued sick leave that must be used before access to the non-accumulative sick leave benefit is granted.
